I am Tahani S. Alazzam. I hold a PhD in Translation Studies from The State University of New York at Binghamton. My expertise spans both English and Arabic, honed through my Master's degree in Translation Studies and Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from Yarmouk University. With a research interest in post-colonial translation theory, I delve into the intricate interplay between translation, power dynamics, and conflict. I have extensive academic experience, as a lecturer and teaching assistant at various institutions, including Al Zaytounah University of Jordan, University of Jordan, and King Faisal University in Saudi Arabia. My teaching portfolio includes a diverse range of courses, from essay writing to specialized English for disciplines such as medicine, pharmacy, and science. I have experience in translator training and effectively employ advanced CAT tools for translation and instruction. My research agenda extends to investigating the amalgamation of contemporary translation pedagogy theory and
Arabic stylistics, aiming to enhance the proficiency of Arab student translators. My contributions to academia encompass curriculum development, test administration, and active participation in academic and administrative committees, reflecting my commitment to excellence in education and research.
